Denali National Park

(Denali, Alaska) - Spent 3 days in Denali NP. Although it was overcast most of the time we were there, the skies did split for enough time for my peeps to take a flight over Mt. McKinley and land on a glacier. The clouds did not spoil the magnificence of the park. The only way to enter the park is by bus, so the second day there we took a 9 hour bus "cruise" from the entrance of the park to the Fish Creek stop on the Denali Road. It was amazing. We saw virtually every animal you would expect to see there: Moose, Eagles, Dall Sheep, Grizzly Bear and even a Wolf!

Maybe I have been living in tents for too long but I have to add that almost as spectacular as the wildlife were the amazing bathrooms at Carlo Creek Campground. In all my campground experience I have never encountered bathrooms this: individual, heated, log cabin bathroom units with your own shower & toilet & even magazines to read while you kick it in there! I wanted to live in them.

The buses that we took in Denali. A view looking back down the road that we took up to Polychrome Pass.
