I'm had enough of the hotel and also done with eating in restaurants. LA is known to be full of health food nuts - raw food, organic, free range, juice elixirs, wheatgrass, the works. But on the other hand it also is infested with the more fast food restaurants than anywhere else I have ever been - Jack In The Box, Popeye's, El Pollo Loco, Baja Fresh, Del Taco... It's nasty! One of the hardest things about staying in a hotel for an extended period of time is the fact that I have no way of making my own food... it's either a restaurant or something quick from the grocery store.
Stopping tomorrow to meet a buddy that is leading a trip heading towards LA. He's stopping for the night at a Cowboy Camp north of Phoenix. Great little ramshackle set up in the middle of rolling, saguaro covered desert hills. Hoping to show up right around dinner time so I can creep on some down home grubbins. Mmm, Mmm!
